Joe West and The Santa Fe Revue
For the second year in a row, the Platinum Music Awards MC and Musical Director is Santa Fe’s own Joe West. His versatile Santa Fe Revue also returns as the house band,
Joe West is an award winning songwriter and performer whose music has been described as “theatrical folk music” but is influenced by both country and rock. Joe has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, sharing the stage with the likes of Peter Rowan, Arlo Guthrie, and Violent Femmes. He has created 9 full length CDs of his original music and has created several music videos.
Over the last few years, Joe has created a full-length rock opera, has produced music for film and television and has created an all original conceptual radio show called THE INTERGALACTIC HONKY TONK MACHINE.
Most recently Joe has returned to his theatrical roots and has created THE THEATER OF DEATH - a theater company which performs Joe’s original dark horror/comedies with original live music.
Black Eagle is a Grammy-winning Native American drum group from Jemez Pueblo in New Mexico that performs and composes Powwow songs in their own Towa language. Black Eagle has contributed to New Mexico’s music industry through their original music, continuous teaching of multi-generational singers and representing New Mexico Native American music and culture.
David Borrego is a veteran singer/songwriter/guitarist with decades of experience in Northern New Mexico. He has played in many bands with his 'Bro' George Adelo, and the legendary band Lumbre Del Sol and wrote a number of the band's signature tunes that are still being played daily on local Spanish radio.
Borrego is also the founder and owner of Borrego’s Guitars and Music Supply in Santa Fe. His songwriting style is a magical fusion of Spanish and Gringo folk rock and always fun to dance to!
The Brass Factory
This Brass Factory ensemble, founded by Larry Hill, has been specially assembled just for the tribute to Dr. William Clark. It is a one-time performance by an exceptional group of musicians.

Tiffany Christopher’s show is all about breaking the rules and bringing her raw creativity and passion to every beat. The show features her mesmerizing skills at building complex and wonderful arrangements of her songs on the fly. Combining her vocals with kick drum, high hat, guitar, ukulele, loops and effects, she takes her fans to a place that's edgy, fun, beautiful, & mind-blowing. It’s hard to believe such complex and varied sound is coming from one person!
Tiffany honed her unique skills while performing throughout the Midwest and West for over a decade – both with a band and as her one-woman act – averaging over 200 gigs per year. She has opened for and performed with a wide variety of trend-setting musicians including the Indigo Girls, Ani DiFranco, Ray LaMontagne, Regina Spektor, Billy Corgan, Martin Sexton and Michael Franti.
Tiffany is currently planning to save the world with music.

John Kurzweg is a multi-platinum record producer and multi-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter who first became known for his work with successful post-grunge band Creed in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Three of Creed's records, which Kurzweg produced & mixed were certified multi-platinum and helped Creed achieve worldwide popularity as well as producing other popular rock artists such as Puddle of Mudd, Godsmack, and Eagle Eye Cherry.
Kurzweg, who in the late 80's signed with Atlantic records as a solo artist, continues recording & performing his own brand of rock music, as well as recording/producing other artists, and can often be found playing various venues around the Santa Fe NM area.
Hummingbird String Quartet and Chorus
We are happy to feature the musical talent of Hummingbird Music Camp, with a faculty string quartet and a campers’ chorus.
Hummingbird has been fortunate over the years to attract and provide great musical talent and teaching skills for their campers. Each year they welcome 30-50 teachers from all over the world to work with and inspire dozens of budding musicians in their weekly sessions. Many music camp tea chers return, year after year, because they enjoy the challenge of working with a diverse group of children of all skill levels, as well as the collaborative and refreshing atmosphere of the campgrounds and traditional summer camp activities.
Nacha Mendez Trio
Members of the Nacha Mendez Trio are Melanie Monsour (Pianist and composer, professional musician in Santa Fe since 1991 with international performance experience), Carla Kountoupes, (Violinist, member of the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra and many other ensembles. In addition to extensive international performance experience, she is a talented music educator), Lisa Donald (Cellist with the NM Philharmonic and Santa Fe Symphonies. She is an Albuquerque native who also offers private music lessons)
They will perform Nacha’s “Bodega de Amor”, with dancers Fernando Rivera and Shannon Sims Berg.
Larry Mitchell is a Grammy award-winning producer, engineer and performer who has toured the world playing guitar with well-known artists including Tracy Chapman, Billy Squier, Ric Ocasek and Miguel Bosé. In his original compositions, Larry skillfully weaves guitar textures that showcase his virtuosity as a solo artist and ensemble player.
As an artist, he has released 9 solo records and won a San Diego Music Award for best pop jazz artist. As a producer-engineer, Larry has won 26 New Mexico Music Awards in various categories from pop, adult contemporary, rap, rock, country and Native American.
Bill Palmer and Stephanie Hatfield
Originally from the Detroit area, Stephanie Hatfield hails from a Kentucky hillbilly heritage with a rich poetic history, and now calls the desert Southwest her home. Unadulterated passion drives Hatfield’s music. Her musical influences range from the church choir, through genres as diverse as classical, opera, broadway, jazz and folk—and eventually rock. Operatically trained at Michigan State University, Hatfield’s diverse and professional musical background can be clearly heard in her musical endeavors.
Bill Palmer is a songwriter, guitarist and award winning record producer living in Santa Fe, NM. He has helmed Santa Fe’s Frogville Studio for over 20. Originally from East Texas, his roots in the American songwriting tradition run deep. He has performed and recorded extensively as vocalist and guitarist for Hundred Year Flood, and guitarist for Stephanie Hatfield and Hot Mess. He currently fronts the rock band Bill Palmer's TV Killers and plays guitar for his wife, Stephanie Hatfield.
Born in Louisiana and raised in New Mexico, tenor saxophonist Doug Lawrence spent over 25 years performing and recording with iconic artists Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Nancy Wilson, Buck Clayton, Dizzy Gillespie, Wild Bill Davis, Benny Goodman, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and many others. For the last 20+ years Doug has been the featured tenor saxophone soloist with the 18-time Grammy® winning Count Basie Orchestra.
Doug's upcoming recording projects (2018 releases) will be a Latin-Jazz album featuring among others Bobby Shew, and a straight-ahead swinging quartet album with longtime friend John Trentacosta recorded in NYC featuring Dan Trudell and John Webber.
Lone Piñon is an acoustic conjunto from Northern New Mexico whose music celebrates the diversity and integrity of their region's cultural roots. Using violins, accordion, quinta huapangera, bajo sexto, guitarrón, tololoche and vocals in Spanish, English, Nahuatl, and P'urépecha, the group has revived and updated the Chicano stringband style that once flourished in New Mexico
The musicians of Lone Piñon--Noah Martinez, Jordan Wax, and Leticia Gonzales--were all lucky enough to be initiated early in their musical path into the traditions of elder musicians. Lone Piñon has played extensively across New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and the Midwest and recorded two CDs.
